| Light Years Ahead Ltd, was formed in April 1997 to bring to market product designs that had won major awards in 1991.
The principle agreed by the founding shareholders was that since the company had a strong design capability, it should be committed to a serious long-term intention to develop radical lighting solutions to influence the market.
The award winning designs have been updated and improved, and the necessary funding applied to the tooling and manufacture of, what is today, an extremely sophisticated product concept developed in consultation with end-users. Products include ROTALUX 350 & 240 Ranges and PROTECTALUX.
With this strong design, financial and engineering base Light Years Ahead Ltd were able to create a purpose made ISO 9002 factory from which all aspects of quality, supply and manufacturing can be controlled.
In order to serve the market in the most effective way, sophisticated IT systems have been introduced to match the ISO manufacturing standard, and to provide the best possible support for our professional and dedicated team.
Our initial marketing research identified areas within the Healthcare and Education sectors where the many features and benefits of ROTALUX found considerable favour, and this led to the development of ROTALUX 240 and 350 ranges. Sales and Marketing specialists have subsequently been introduced to drive a very focussed programme to bring the product to the end-user. |
